The Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar temple has stood in Victoria since 1992. Ganesh Chaturthi and Cavadee still fill the street outside it, and the kolam is drawn at its threshold.

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Seychelles?
No. Seychelles issues no tourist visa to anyone. You arrive with a passport valid for your stay, a return or onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and proof of funds, and immigration grants a visitor's permit at the airport. Fill the online Seychelles Travel Authorisation before you fly.
How long is the flight from India?
Air Seychelles flies Mumbai to Mahé nonstop in about four and a half hours. From Delhi, Bengaluru or Chennai you connect, usually through Mumbai, Colombo, Dubai or Doha. It is a shorter flight than Mumbai to London, and the time difference is ninety minutes.
Is vegetarian and Jain food actually possible there?
Yes, and without a performance about it. Victoria has Indian kitchens, the larger hotels cook to order when the kitchen is told in advance, and the islands' own Creole food is built on coconut milk, rice and curry leaves. Jain requirements need notice, which is exactly what a planner is for. Tell us and it is arranged before you land.
What does a Seychelles holiday from India cost?
Most of the trips we arrange land between ₹4,40,000 and ₹13,20,000 for two people for a week, flights included, and the range is wide because the islands run from a family guesthouse to a private island. Rupee figures on this site are indicative and follow the euro price, which is what you will actually be charged.
Which month should we come in?
There is no bad month, only a wrong coast for the month you pick. April to May and October to November are the two glass-water windows. June to September the south-east trades blow, so you move to the north-west. December to March the wind turns and you move to the south-east and east. The calendar above says it plainly.
Can we get married in Seychelles as Indian citizens?
Yes, and it is a real marriage, not a symbolic one. India has been a party to the Hague Apostille Convention since 14 July 2005, so an apostille on your documents is sufficient for India and no further consular legalisation is needed. Seychelles then needs the documents attested through its own chain. We keep a week of buffer in the schedule so nothing is decided at a counter on the day.
