Plan with Meera
There is no telephone number on this site and no chat window. There is this, and a person at the other end of it who answers.
What happens after you press send
Your letter arrives at one desk. Not a queue, not a ticket number, not a bot that asks you to rate the conversation. Meera reads it, and if it needs the team on Mahé to check a date or a price before anything is promised, she checks and then writes.
The reply is a plan in writing. What we would book for those dates, on which coast, at what price, and where we think you should not spend the money. If a week you have chosen is the wrong week for the island you have chosen, the letter says so, because a sale made against the weather is a sale we have to answer for later.
Nothing is charged and nothing is held. You can write with a date and nothing else, or with a spreadsheet. Both get an answer.
What we arrange, and what we do not
We are a marketing and planning desk for a licensed Seychelles operator, and the honest shape of that is a short list of things we do ourselves and a shorter list of things we will not pretend to do.
Car hire
our own fleetTen cars, delivered to the terminal, the jetty or the hotel. A price agreed before you fly. See the fleet.
Excursions and days out
ours and Viator'sOur own team runs the direct-booking days. The rest are listed through Viator, which is marked on every card. See the excursions.
Airport transfers and taxis
a named partnerWeddings and vow renewals
ours end to endThe paperwork, the officiant, the photographer, the flowers, and the mandap if you want one. See how a wedding here works.
We do not sell you a hotel room, a ferry ticket, a bus ticket or an airline seat. The hotel pages on this site are guides that send you to the operator's own booking page, the ferry pages are timetables, and the flight page carries a live fare search that is not ours. We would rather be useful on all four than take a margin on any of them.
Before you write, two things worth knowing
The first is the month. There is no bad month in Seychelles, only a wrong coast for the month. From December to March the north-west wind blows and the calm water sits on the south and east coasts. From May to September the south-east trades blow and it moves to the north and the west. April and October sit between the two systems and every coast goes quiet at once. The calm calendar sets it out with the Indian holiday windows marked against it.
The second is the paperwork, which is lighter than most people expect. Seychelles issues no tourist visa to anybody of any nationality. An Indian passport holder is granted a visitor's permit at the border like everybody else, against a passport, a return ticket, accommodation booked for every night and proof of funds. There is an online travel authorisation to hold before you board. Our entry page has the whole of it.
Tell Meera what you already picture
The more of it you write, the more exact the answer. Dates you cannot move, a coast you have read about, a child who will not sit still on a boat, a kitchen that has to be vegetarian. All of it helps.
What people ask.
Why is there no phone number and no chat window?
Because a written answer is a better answer. A plan for a week of a holiday has dates, coasts, prices and a route in it, and none of that survives a phone call intact. Writing also means one person keeps the whole of your trip in one place instead of four people knowing a quarter of it each. You get everything back in a form you can read again, forward to whoever is paying, and hold us to.
How quickly does someone reply?
Within a day, usually the same one. Seychelles runs an hour and a half ahead of India, so a letter written in the evening in Delhi is read the following morning on Mahé.
Do I have to know my dates?
No. Half the letters that arrive here begin with a month and a rough number of nights, and that is enough to start. If anything, the earlier you write the more use the reply is, because the month is the decision that fixes every other one.
Is there a charge for planning?
No. Asking costs nothing, a written plan costs nothing, and changing your mind costs nothing. We are paid a commission by the operator when you book something, at the price you would have paid anyway.
Do you take payment on this website?
Never. There is no card form anywhere on this site and there never will be. When you decide to book, the operator confirms in writing and takes the payment through their own channel. Nobody from us will ask you for card details by email.
Can you handle vegetarian and Jain food?
Yes, and it is worth saying on the enquiry rather than on the morning. A lunch on an island is cooked to a headcount, and a note the day before is the difference between a proper meal and a plate of rice. Several kitchens on Mahé and Praslin cook without onion and garlic when asked in advance. The food page names them.
Or read first, and write later
The calm calendar answers the month, and the guide answers most of the rest. Neither of them asks you for anything.
