Canopy by Hilton
A hundred and twenty modern rooms on the sheltered bay at Anse La Mouche, twenty minutes from the airport. It is the least expensive way to stay somewhere genuinely good on Mahé, and the reviews are about the people rather than the marble.

What Canopy by Hilton is.
4.6out of 5527 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026
Canopy is Hilton's lifestyle brand, which in practice means a bright, contemporary hotel with a good pool, several places to eat and none of the hush of a five-star. It runs to about a hundred and twenty rooms on the bay at Anse La Mouche and holds 4.6 from more than five hundred reviews.
What the reviews are actually about is the welcome. The check-in comes up again and again, a drink and a real greeting rather than a form, and guests keep naming the person at reception who sorted something out. For a hotel of this size that is unusual, and it is the reason the score sits where it does rather than a step lower with the rest of the mid-range.
The rooms are modern and comfortable and the hotel is built around the pool and the bay rather than around a lobby. It is unfussy, it works, and nobody is performing luxury at you.
Where it stands.
Anse La Mouche is a wide, sheltered bay on the south-west coast, twenty minutes by car from the airport and about half an hour from Victoria. The water is calm and shallow, which makes it one of the easier swimming bays on the island. Anse Soleil, Petite Anse and Anse Intendance are a short drive south, and the craft studios of the south-west are worth an afternoon when the sun is high.
What a week here feels like.
A comfortable, cheerful, well-run hotel where the day is yours to shape. There is enough here to fill an afternoon and not enough to fill a week, which is the correct amount for Mahé. Take a car, use the hotel as a base, and eat at least half your dinners somewhere else.
Who it suits.
Families and couples who would rather spend the money on the fortnight than on the room. Also the right first or last night on the island, because twenty minutes from the terminal is twenty minutes. It is not a hideaway and it is not trying to be.
What this means for you.
This is the property we point Indian families to most often, and the reason is arithmetic. A week here plus a hire car plus two days out costs less than four nights at the top of the market, and the fortnight is what people remember. The bay is shallow and calm enough for children who are not strong swimmers. Anse La Mouche also has a supermarket and takeaways within a short drive, which matters if half the party eats vegetarian and wants a night off restaurant menus.
What guests actually wrote.
Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:
The hotel was very impressive on arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our luggage.Maria, Google review
We had a wonderful stay celebrating my 40th birthday with my husband, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, Annie at reception was an absolute gem — warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.Hilda, Google review

How you arrive.
Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way. The drive from the terminal is between twenty minutes and an hour depending on the coast. We arrange a private transfer that watches your flight number, which is worth having on the night you arrive and not much worth having after that.
Where the room is actually sold.
Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Canopy by Hilton's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

The six people ask.
Where is Canopy by Hilton?
Anse La Mouche, on Mahé. Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way.
How big is it?
120 rooms and 240 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.
How is it rated, and by whom?
4.6 out of 5 on Google, from 527 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.
How do I book it?
On SeyBooking.com, on Canopy by Hilton's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.
Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?
Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.
We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?
Probably, if you tell them early. A resort kitchen of this size will normally cook vegetarian without any fuss, and Jain is a longer conversation that needs to happen at the booking rather than at the first dinner. We are not going to claim more than that about a kitchen we have not spoken to. If the requirement is strict, look at the self-catering places on this page, where a kitchen of your own settles it.
If Canopy by Hilton is full.
