Two beaches and a marine park

Constance Ephelia Resort

Three hundred and thirteen rooms and villas across a whole headland at Port Launay, with eleven places to eat and two sheltered beaches. It is the biggest resort in the country and it still holds 4.7.

The property

What Constance Ephelia Resort is.

4.7out of 53,952 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026

Ephelia occupies a headland rather than a plot. Three hundred and thirteen rooms and villas are spread across a large estate wrapped around two beaches, with eleven restaurants and bars, several pools, a large spa and a dive centre. On paper that reads as the sort of place where you queue for a lounger.

In practice it is the opposite, and the reviews say so consistently. The estate is big enough that guests report never struggling to find a quiet corner or a chair, even when the resort is full. That is a function of land rather than management, and land is the thing most Seychelles resorts do not have.

It carries 4.7 from close to four thousand reviews, which for a property this size is the genuinely difficult number on this page. Anyone can run a nine-room hotel well. Holding a 4.7 across three hundred rooms takes a system.

The setting

Where it stands.

Port Launay is on the north-west coast, on one of the calmest bays on Mahé and beside the Port Launay marine national park, where the snorkelling starts a few metres off the sand. Behind it rise the hills of the Morne Seychellois national park, the biggest protected area on the island and the best walking on it. The airport is about forty-five minutes, Victoria about half an hour.

The stay

What a week here feels like.

A resort you can genuinely stay inside for a week without it feeling like a compromise, which on this island is rare. Two beaches means one of them is always in the shade or out of the wind. Eleven kitchens means nobody is eating the same dinner twice.

Suitability

Who it suits.

Families, multi-generational parties, and anyone travelling with people who want different things from the same fortnight. The scale that makes it wrong for a couple seeking a hideaway is exactly what makes it right for eight people with one set of dates.

From India

What this means for you.

This is the one we recommend for a large family group, and the dietary answer here is on the record rather than assumed: the listing states that the kitchens work around dietary needs. With eleven kitchens that is a claim with something behind it. The family villas come with a villa host, which in practice means one person you can ask for anything instead of a language-barrier phone call to a desk. Port Launay is forty-five minutes from the terminal, so book the transfer for the arrival.

The reviews

What guests actually wrote.

Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:

We spent two wonderful weeks at Constance Ephelia Resort in the Seychelles and had a great overall experience. The resort is beautifully maintained, with well-kept gardens and facilities throughout the entire property.Matthias, Google review
Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were graciously upgraded to a family villa with a private pool, which was perfectly prepared for our arrival with a baby bed and bath.Lea, Google review

Getting there

How you arrive.

Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way. The drive from the terminal is between twenty minutes and an hour depending on the coast. We arrange a private transfer that watches your flight number, which is worth having on the night you arrive and not much worth having after that.

The booking

Where the room is actually sold.

Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Constance Ephelia Resort's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

११Before you book

The six people ask.

Where is Constance Ephelia Resort?

Port Launay, on Mahé. Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way.

How big is it?

313 rooms and 626 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.

How is it rated, and by whom?

4.7 out of 5 on Google, from 3,952 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.

How do I book it?

On SeyBooking.com, on Constance Ephelia Resort's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.

Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?

Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.

We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?

Yes, and this is one of the three properties on this site where that is on the record rather than assumed: its own listing says the kitchens work around dietary needs. Say it when you book, and if the requirement is Jain, say what that means, because the word does not travel.

Room chosen. Now the week.

Book the room on the listing, then tell us your dates. The car, the transfer and the days out come back in one message, at no extra cost.
