The property

What Kempinski Seychelles Resort is.

4.7out of 54,132 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026

Kempinski sits on a near-perfect crescent at Baie Lazare, on the quieter south-west coast, and the setting is the first thing every review mentions. Sheltered sand, calm water, a green hill behind. A hundred and fifty rooms and villas climb that hill, with several restaurants including Windsong, part of which stands on the sand itself, plus a spa, a dive centre, tennis courts and a large pool.

It holds 4.7 from more than four thousand reviews, one of the two largest review bases on this whole page. What comes through them is the service rather than the marble, a team across the restaurants, the beach and the front desk that guests describe as warm from the first day.

One quiet signal is worth more than the score. Seychellois themselves buy the day pass here. Locals paying to spend a Sunday at a resort they could avoid is the most reliable review a hotel on this island can get.

The setting

Where it stands.

Baie Lazare is on the south-west of Mahé, about forty minutes from the airport and Victoria, in the calmer and greener half of the island. Some of the best beaches in the country are within a short drive, Anse Intendance and Petite Anse among them, and the craft village and the artist studios nearby are worth an afternoon.

The stay

What a week here feels like.

A full resort, run properly, with enough on site that you will use the car less than you expected. The cove is calm and swimmable in a way that suits a family with small children as easily as a couple, which is unusual and is most of why the score holds.

Suitability

Who it suits.

Families and couples who want everything in one place without giving up a beautiful beach. It is the safe recommendation on Mahé in the good sense of the phrase: very few people are disappointed here.

From India

What this means for you.

The most familiar name on this list for Indian travellers, and the familiarity is earned rather than borrowed. Practically: the cove is shallow and calm, there are five kitchens so a fussy eater has options, and the resort is used to large family bookings. Forty minutes from the terminal, so take a transfer on the landing night and pick the car up at the resort the next morning.

The reviews

What guests actually wrote.

Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:

As a proud Seychellois, I had the pleasure of spending the day at the beautiful Kempinski Seychelles Resort surrounded by my family.Caleb, Google review
I had a great experience at the hotel today. The receptionist, Ezra, was friendly and welcoming.Diana, Google review

Getting there

How you arrive.

Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way. The drive from the terminal is between twenty minutes and an hour depending on the coast. We arrange a private transfer that watches your flight number, which is worth having on the night you arrive and not much worth having after that.

The booking

Where the room is actually sold.

Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Kempinski Seychelles Resort's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

११Before you book

The six people ask.

Where is Kempinski Seychelles Resort?

Baie Lazare, on Mahé. Mahé is the island the international flights land on, so there is no boat and no second flight in the way.

How big is it?

150 rooms and 300 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.

How is it rated, and by whom?

4.7 out of 5 on Google, from 4,132 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.

How do I book it?

On SeyBooking.com, on Kempinski Seychelles Resort's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.

Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?

Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.

We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?

Probably, if you tell them early. A resort kitchen of this size will normally cook vegetarian without any fuss, and Jain is a longer conversation that needs to happen at the booking rather than at the first dinner. We are not going to claim more than that about a kitchen we have not spoken to. If the requirement is strict, look at the self-catering places on this page, where a kitchen of your own settles it.

Room chosen. Now the week.

Book the room on the listing, then tell us your dates. The car, the transfer and the days out come back in one message, at no extra cost.
