What Coco de Mer Hotel is.
4.6out of 5967 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026
Coco de Mer is a fifty-two room hotel on the ocean at Anse Bois de Rose, on the quieter south coast of Praslin, and it is family-run in the sense that matters: the owning family's commitment to the place comes through the reviews rather than through a plaque in reception.
It holds 4.6 from close to a thousand reviews. The grounds are large and well organised with several pool areas, enough space that it never feels crowded even when full, and rooms that guests describe as large and immaculately kept. Breakfast is singled out repeatedly.
There is an adults-only wing, the Black Parrot Suites, for couples who want the calm without the children, which is a rare and useful thing to be able to choose inside one property.
Where it stands.
Anse Bois de Rose is on the south coast of Praslin, about ten minutes from the ferry jetty at Baie Sainte Anne, so the boats to La Digue, Curieuse and the smaller islands are close. The coast here is quieter than the resort beaches of the north, with mangroves and a nature reserve nearby, and the Vallée de Mai is a short drive inland. Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are on the far side of the island.
What a week here feels like.
Space and calm. The estate is big enough to walk around and quiet enough that you will. This is the side of Praslin where the sunsets are less dramatic and the days are more restful, and people choose it deliberately.
Who it suits.
Couples who want the adults-only wing, and families who want room to spread out. Anyone whose week is built around the ferries, because the jetty is ten minutes away.
What this means for you.
A useful one for a mixed party. The adults-only wing means the honeymooning couple and the parents can be in the same hotel without being in the same corner of it, which is a common shape for an Indian family trip and one that most hotels cannot solve. Ten minutes from the jetty also makes a La Digue day out an easy morning rather than a logistical exercise.
What guests actually wrote.
Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:
This is a hotel with a great location by the ocean and superb hospitality. My wife and I stayed here for three nights with our two small children during our visit to Praslin.Alexander, Google review
We stayed at Coco de Mer from February 20th to 22nd and it truly felt like a dream in paradise. From the very first moment, we experienced one of the warmest welcomes we have ever received.Rossana, Google review

How you arrive.
Praslin is reached from Mahé either by the fast ferry, about an hour from Victoria into Baie Sainte Anne, or by a fifteen-minute flight to the island's airstrip. The ferry is cheaper and shows you the sea. The flight is quicker and carries fifteen kilos a person, which is the figure that usually decides it for a family. We can arrange the transfer at both ends so the chain is not yours to assemble.

Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Coco de Mer Hotel's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

The six people ask.
Where is Coco de Mer Hotel?
Anse Bois De Rose, on Praslin. Praslin is reached from Mahé either by the fast ferry, about an hour from Victoria into Baie Sainte Anne, or by a fifteen-minute flight to the island's airstrip.
How big is it?
52 rooms and 104 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.
How is it rated, and by whom?
4.6 out of 5 on Google, from 967 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.
How do I book it?
On SeyBooking.com, on Coco de Mer Hotel's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.
Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?
Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.
We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?
Probably, if you tell them early. A resort kitchen of this size will normally cook vegetarian without any fuss, and Jain is a longer conversation that needs to happen at the booking rather than at the first dinner. We are not going to claim more than that about a kitchen we have not spoken to. If the requirement is strict, look at the self-catering places on this page, where a kitchen of your own settles it.
If Coco de Mer Hotel is full.
