What Maison Ed-Elle is.
4.9out of 559 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026
Maison Ed-Elle is four self-catering rooms in La Passe, the main village of car-free La Digue, and it carries 4.9 from fifty-nine reviews. One name runs through almost every one of them, which is Elluna, the host. Guests write about her before they write about the room, and that tells you where the value of a stay here actually sits.
The apartments are spotless and well equipped, with a fully functional kitchen so cooking for yourself is straightforward, generous bathrooms, beach towels provided, and the room cleaned every other day rather than left for the length of the stay.
The specifics in the reviews are practical rather than poetic. Elluna arranged a ride from the port for arriving guests, which one traveller noted made a real difference with luggage. She cooked a home-made dinner on request. Several guests mention the beach and island advice she gave them, which is the kind of local steer that shapes how a few days on La Digue actually go.
Where it stands.
La Passe is where every La Digue trip begins. The ferry from Praslin takes about fifteen minutes and lands a short walk from the door, so bags can be dropped and a beach reached within the hour. There are no cars on the island, so most guests walk or hire a bicycle, and both work from here. Anse Source d'Argent is a flat ride south past L'Union Estate, and the quieter northern beaches are a longer pedal.
What a week here feels like.
A flat with a kitchen and a host who answers. There is no reception, no restaurant and no pool, and the price reflects all three. What there is, is somebody who will sort out the thing you did not know you needed sorting.
Who it suits.
Independent travellers, couples and small families. The right base for two or three nights on La Digue inside a longer trip.
What this means for you.
The kitchen is the point for anyone travelling vegetarian or Jain. La Digue has very few restaurants and they close early, so a self-catering room here is not a saving so much as an insurance policy. Buy what you need in La Passe on the way in from the jetty. Elluna also arranges the port transfer, which with luggage on an island of bicycles is genuinely the difference between a good arrival and a bad one.
What guests actually wrote.
Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:
We had a great stay at Maison Ed-Elle. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. They were able to arranage a ride for our arrival, which was a big help with our luggage.Mari, Google review
Our stay on La Digue at Maison Ed-Elle was absolutely wonderful – and that’s all thanks to Elluna (the owner)!Ayleca, Google review

How you arrive.
There is no direct route from Mahé. You cross to Praslin first, by ferry or by air, then take the second ferry from Baie Sainte Anne to La Passe, which takes about fifteen minutes. There are no cars on La Digue, so the last part of the journey is on foot or by bicycle. We can put the whole chain together, including the bags.
Where the room is actually sold.
Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Maison Ed-Elle's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

The six people ask.
Where is Maison Ed-Elle?
La Passe, on La Digue. There is no direct route from Mahé.
How big is it?
4 rooms and 8 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.
How is it rated, and by whom?
4.9 out of 5 on Google, from 59 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.
How do I book it?
On SeyBooking.com, on Maison Ed-Elle's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.
Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?
Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.
We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?
It is a small house rather than a hotel kitchen, so ask directly when you book. Several of the small properties on this island cook to order for guests who ask in advance. What we will not do is promise you something on their behalf that nobody has told us.
