What Paradise Sun Hotel is.
4.5out of 5774 reviews on Googleread 2 September 2026
Paradise Sun is an eighty-room beachfront hotel on Côte d'Or, recently renovated, and the renovation is the thing guests notice. The rooms are singled out as well designed, with thoughtful detail and ocean views, and described as a real step up from what the hotel was.
It holds 4.5 from more than seven hundred reviews. The hotel is built around its beachfront, with well-kept gardens and a dining area at the edge of the sand, and the dinners get a lot of the praise, with a different themed menu each night.
The staff and the beach are the two constants in the reviews. There are activities laid on, so there is always something to do, without the hotel insisting that you do it.
Where it stands.
Côte d'Or, or Anse Volbert, is the liveliest beach on Praslin, a long sheltered bay with calm water safe for swimming and the launch point for most of the island's boat trips. Shops, dive centres and restaurants line the bay. Anse Lazio and the Vallée de Mai are both a short drive away.
What a week here feels like.
A straightforward, comfortable beach hotel that has recently had money spent on it. The nightly themed dinners give the week a shape without anybody organising you.
Who it suits.
Couples and families who want the beach, good food and a fair price on the best bay on Praslin. It is the most relaxed of the four hotels on this stretch of sand.
What this means for you.
A themed menu every night is the practical answer to the fortnight problem, which is that hotel food gets samey by day five. Eating with sand under the table also makes the evening the event, which suits a family holiday where the days are spent on boats. The jetty and the boat trips are both close.
What guests actually wrote.
Two of the reviews on the listing, in the order Google shows them and in the words they were written in:
We stayed at the Paradise Sun Hotel in the middle of April. It was absolutely wonderful. The rooms (which apparently were recently renovated) were incredible. Very nicely renovated with excellent thoughtful touches, and well designed.Grant, Google review
A hotel with great bones and a fantastic location right on the beach. The rooms are well-appointed with lovely ocean views, and the beachfront setting is one of the property's strongest assets.Rob, Google review

How you arrive.
Praslin is reached from Mahé either by the fast ferry, about an hour from Victoria into Baie Sainte Anne, or by a fifteen-minute flight to the island's airstrip. The ferry is cheaper and shows you the sea. The flight is quicker and carries fifteen kilos a person, which is the figure that usually decides it for a family. We can arrange the transfer at both ends so the chain is not yours to assemble.
Where the room is actually sold.
Booking and payment happen on SeyBooking.com, the licensed Seychelles operator, on Paradise Sun Hotel's own listing there. We are a guide. We take no payment, hold no room and add nothing to the price, and the button on this page opens that listing so you can see the rate for your dates, which is a thing no guide page can honestly print. Most rooms show free cancellation, and the listing says so before you commit.

The six people ask.
Where is Paradise Sun Hotel?
Anse Volbert, on Praslin. Praslin is reached from Mahé either by the fast ferry, about an hour from Victoria into Baie Sainte Anne, or by a fifteen-minute flight to the island's airstrip.
How big is it?
80 rooms and 160 beds, per the Seychelles tourism register. The room types and what is free on your dates are on the listing.
How is it rated, and by whom?
4.5 out of 5 on Google, from 774 Google reviews, read on 2 September 2026. That is Google's figure and not ours. We do not run a rating of our own, we do not average anything, and we do not publish a score we could not show you the source of.
How do I book it?
On SeyBooking.com, on Paradise Sun Hotel's own listing there. The button on this page opens it. We take no payment on this site and there is no form on this page, because the room is not ours to sell.
Can you arrange the rest of the trip around it?
Yes, and that is the part we do run. The car, the airport transfer, the days out and, if that is why you are coming, the wedding. Book the room on the listing, then tell us the dates and we will build the rest around them at no extra cost.
We are vegetarian. Will the kitchen manage?
Probably, if you tell them early. A resort kitchen of this size will normally cook vegetarian without any fuss, and Jain is a longer conversation that needs to happen at the booking rather than at the first dinner. We are not going to claim more than that about a kitchen we have not spoken to. If the requirement is strict, look at the self-catering places on this page, where a kitchen of your own settles it.
If Paradise Sun Hotel is full.
